People are the
only true source to continuously improve living standards (Sustainable
Development); ideas to industries, ownership and jobs, taxes to public
services, growth and progress, A Happy Society. However, egos and greed are part of that Entrepreneurial Development mix,
seeking individual awards and rewards for life changing accomplishments.
Achievements which places the individual in a class of the few rather than the
many. (Selfishness destroys Nations)
Persons that will fight, climb over each other, to win no matter who or how
many lose. While, putting Money before Morals leaving many people behind with derogatory
labels, unable to earn and maintain a basic standard of living, dangerously
widening the wealth gap and loosening morals.
Moral Leadership must politely and
decently encourage respect, talents and skills. Protecting a polity; a nation,
a society, a constitution; a mix of established precedents and written
principles is the role of A Head of State. A President that commands respect
and invokes honour among the entire population, its elected or selected
representatives and its various Leadership or Education roles. While
indirectly, Mentoring and Parenting to
give each individual, a moral and ethical upbringing, lessons of right and
wrong, a strong sense of self and an appreciation of all others. This is a
first step in Fixing A Nation, listening,
understanding and guiding public discourse and interaction, censuring and
rebuking hate speech and offensive behaviour with no political bias or
preference.
HV-education, to create and
sustain a lifelong love of learning within the population, while passing on
knowledge, using researched and developed, tested and accepted scientific
methodologies. Training and developing young students, mentally and physically,
to understand spirituality and historical evolution, and encouraging such young
minds to improve processes and to innovate; noting that, Synergies Reduce Risks.
Tertiary degree programs, funded by taxpayers and consisting of numerous hours
of on-the job training or Essential Ideas incubation, must
be designed and driven by real-life opportunities. Hence, an educated public
would be focused on improving lifestyles; growing Gross Domestic Product (GDP),
via key Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) economic drivers, and (Employment seeking - creating Jobs) opportunities.
Disputes
to consensus can only be reached with true Decency and a genuine
sense of compromise. Political disputes, demanding A level playing field, are
real-life issues, in which the party in power, via the executive, proposes a
solution and promotes its as the best, while other parties, presently holding Opposition Power, calls
that solution the worst. But in politics, all real-life issues which affects
the population, a constituency, is always tainted with the winning of election
calculations. This Politics of Division, where
Politicians, who should only speak to Nation Building Policies, engage
in hate fuelled elections is a real socially damaging issue.
It
would be much better, if politically independent Permanent Public Officers,
with technical proficiencies, addresses implementation, speaking directly to
the public on the effects of any solution; policy, project or programme, both
on the people and on the treasury (Office of Budgets).
While recognizing that would women in leadership roles, Gender is not the Issue, as
traditional supportive roles undergo change, which must be accepted with
respect, the real social issue is Abuse. Society must teach the female, the danger of flirting or sending mixed
messages, having no interest or having no interest at the moment, and mothers
must teach males to understand A Deceptive Smile.
Immigration,
corruption and the wealth gap are other social issues requiring Problem Solving, if not hidden
among hate and abuse, calling for the breaking down of walls and embracing all
people, fostering trust, peace and happiness. Hence, the way forward must
clearly, address hate and abuse, illegal acts and other social problems, and
will require a respected independent apolitical referee; The Head of State, The
President, The Judiciary, Statutory Boards, Regulators, etc.
