The God sent pandemic of 2020
will leave the World with better hygiene, and Safe distancing practices. There
is No such thing as Individual happiness – Happiness is communal. The
individual pursuit of more money, wealth, and power will destroy the human
race. Communities which share resources, and responsibilities, for and with
each other, prosper. We must close the wealth gap and provide a basic living
standard for all. A society with Jobs (Purpose) for all #EconomicDrivers, well
built and maintained #Infrastructure, mandatory and compulsory Lifelong
#Education, Free or Affordable #Healthcare and of course, Justice for All #Security, is a Happy Society.

Life before Lifestyles
I continuously think of myself as a leader. As many would seek my
thoughts on future societal trends. But I confess that I played no role in the early
alarms of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given my age and present state of health, I
started wearing face coverings from very early and called on others to do so. I
sympathize with the families of the dead, the ill, those economically displaced
and those on all frontlines. As I foresee mitigation measures as having to last
an exceptionally long time. This new reality will be different, better I hope,
but difficult for many of us.

Leadership Crisis
In a democracy, the electorate votes to elect moral and ethical
persons to serve in leadership roles. Not to enrich themselves or to win the
next election, but to collectively make life better for their society. Such
leadership must avoid misfortunes, wars or insurgencies but be constantly
prepared for natural disasters and to put down external or internal threats to
the nation. This leadership must prevent but prepare for public health
emergencies. The leadership must instill a lifelong Love of Learning in and
across the population. All to inspire confidence throughout the society, in its
laws, its policies, its infrastructure and its revenue generating, economic
drivers.

Ethical Behaviour
Building
character and molding integrity is to be exposed to social rights and wrongs,
through moral teachings infused in the young developing brain, resulting in
ethical behaviour. All improvement processes are
driven by entrepreneurial ideas, from multiple sources of persons, with
a Lifelong Love of Learning and a burning
desire to strengthen their society. Attacks upon your adult character and
integrity, by persons seeking to understand your decisions, will demand social
communications and interactions under advance interrogation, not by launching
counter attacks. Ethical Behaviour, builds and protects your ‘Good Name’
opportunities from slander and personal attacks, in doing right and supporting
truth.

Justice for All
Complex
academic research papers can simply be put and understood by pointing out the
ills of society: People trampling upon each other in the pursuit of wealth,
power and status, instead of helping, supporting and assisting each other in
the search of Happiness, Peace and Respect. Persons forced through a rigid and
socially damming education system, who are tested, failed and abandoned,
instead of guided towards a Lifelong Love of Learning, will attack rather than
build the society. Populations missing or disrespecting anyone of Life’s four
main roles needed to form a functioning society; Developing, Inspiring,
Administering and Building, is doomed to fail. Publics that are denied full
access to essential services due to hate, discrimination and a lack of funds to
fair justice, contributes to societal failure.

Decency
To prevent Wars, Insurrections, Civil Disputes, or
broken relationships and preserve peace, talking is very necessary. Firstly,
identifying topics of concern to all participants, both of agreement and
disagreement, must be disclosed. Secondly, stating each party’s current
thinking, the present processes and benefits, identifying the thoughts on what
must be done and why change. Understanding others’ position, while politely disagreeing
with it, is the key to pushing for and fine tuning a more favorable position
and flexibility towards any new position. Each party must envisage the desired
outcome of any negotiation, from its inception, as Consensus seeking or to
reach a Win-Win settlement.

Government Priorities
Speaking to the widest possible audience, members of the public, the
citizenry and population. The elected Government main responsibilities are and
must find ways to inspire Happiness, Peace and Respect throughout the society.
Happiness,
difficult to define, can only occur for many, when the unemployable and the
working poor are eliminated. Peace is
not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful
means. Respect for the dignity of all people is via Law and Order. How can this
be accomplished? By creating a healthy, productive, mobile population working
together. SYNERGIES surrounding Security, Healthcare, Education, Infrastructure, and Economic Drivers.

Thoughts, Opinions & Decisions
The average person, in a functioning democracy, gets to make
Decisions that will affect us all. Such an individual, no matter their level of
formal education, will form Opinions on and about a variety of topics,
character of persons and the public’s ability to accept changes. These persons,
interested in learning and progressing, will listen to others, who are
perceived to have intimate knowledge and are in a position of trust, to guide
their Thoughts. And so we all should, but no one voice can be constantly right
across all topics, so we must seek out and find the best and most knowledgeable
voices on each issue, before lending our own.

A Few Good Men
Not speaking up makes you complicit. Do you agree or disagree; silence is generally accepted as consent, so you must have and express an opinion. Strong opinions for or against must be sold to influential persons and communicated to a wider audience. Documenting your ideas or criticisms with supporting facts, offers a professional legitimacy and builds a record of respect, which is important to access policy and law makers. How do your suggestions affect the many as opposed to the few? That is all it really takes, a few good people of independent thought to prioritize and implement, with clear benefits for the majority.
