Work Ethics


Many see work as a location, a duty and a responsibility. Work is best described as a function to fill a need, satisfy a want and to solve a problem, for valued returns and payments. This Economic Driving activities divided into Standard Industrial Classification (SIC), which produces (Goods and Services) outputs measured by profits and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Hence, payments and profits easily become every bodies focus points of the Work. Ethics and Respect for the Work must also be understood, for values to be earned, by all contributors of time and resources.

Seeking benefits, the Work needs different and diverse contributors; Physical skilled and unskilled workers, Mental academic and non-academic workers and, of course, Investors non-workers. An individual (Self Employed) who owns land, plants, picks and sells fruits and collect money, contributes all that this work needs. A large operation (Business) can require many Investors contributing lands, farming equipment, time, cash, etc., many unskilled and non-academic workers, and some skilled and academic workers. Noting that the Work itself requires Developing, Inspiring, Administering and Building which are the same in the four main roles of Life.

Such Investors expect and focus on Profits (Returns On Investments (ROI)) to retire on. Workers expect and focus on Payments (Salaries and Wages) to live on. And these benefits must be competitive and proportional. Competing with similar investment opportunities (Cash Deposits and Assets ROI), and Work functions and conditions (Job Descriptions). Proportional to the risk exposure; Physical harm, Mental stress, Assets damage, Loss of Principal Investment, and a waste of Time. The work must be seen as rewarding. Hence it is the Work environment, with all else equal, which will add to the levels of reward and comfort.

Organizational culture is a mix of each workers’ national, social and historical culture, and continuously changes adopting the latest (management efficiency and production processes) style. Personalities and relationships are a matter of continuously adapting, as necessary, to the local community and between co-workers requires exercises, to build and renew cohesive teams. A Code of Conduct will standardize Ethical Behaviour effectiveness and efficiency, allowing the Work, itself to represent, the commitment to excellence, brought by all workers. With such dedication to each other and to the Work, the resulting Productivity will attract and interest other Investors, enhancing Market Value.

Therefore, it is the focus on excellent Work Ethics, infused into a group of talented and committed workers, supported by adequate resources over calculated time invested, which brings the recognition; sales revenue, gross profits, salary and wage increases, administrative and other expense payments, continuous net earnings, book and market share value growth and dividend payouts. This is about the habits of The Best People, not cultural habits, although culture plays an important part in individual development. But of habits learnt and practiced from exposure to the individual’s first timetable, introducing discipline in every aspect of life.
