The future is never clear or predictable. Human Beings cause and
react to change in various ways. While many preach of gloom and doom, others
focus on solutions to return society to where it was, but yet some, a very few,
think of how this crisis can make life better. Science has developed many ways
to annihilate mankind, as artistic movies have shown, but has always stopped
short, developing protocols and cures. For every known natural or manmade disaster,
procedures are in place to mitigate dangers. However, the questions surround
the unknown. Think Tanks, armed with the best minds, are charged with solving
and preparing for such unknown circumstances by deploying natural Human
Roles.
Engaging Leaders, in the Inspirer Role, would visualize better
security and create seamless applications to scan people and possessions,
within a geographic area, from unwanted elements. Inclusive of elements, in or
on the human body, over or under a normal level, or within cargo, which is not
declared or strictly prohibited. This will become a normal contraband and
health security scan, on entry or exit. Interviews and documentations, from
other security services, investigations will verify that this is the right
person or item, before access is granted. Unauthorized access to this
geographic area would then be limited to electronic entry, via external power
supplies and the internet or physical breaches unless key facilities are made
mobile.
Assigning leaders, in the Developer Role, to invent or innovate devices
and processes which can carry out the mission is a highly technical matter.
They first must prove loyalty to the task. For as easy as it is to scan for
disease, it is to insert it. System loopholes or back doors, like in computer
networks, will sell to enemies for the highest prices. Designs with infringe on
individual rights, similar to public security cameras with infrared, facial
recognition, and full body scans. The future world will be surrounded by such
devices and processes, as the new normal, protecting the human race from
itself.
Training up leaders, in the Administration Role, to monitor and
report on the device and process accuracy is crucial. This will require new
methods of Policing. Manning these new devices may seem to be guard work, such
as security at a building entrance or port terminal, and hopefully it will
evolve to that. But at first expect public resistance and refusals to comply,
as someone asymptomatic is denied entry. For such security to work, it will
have to be simultaneously deployed nationally. Cost to Benefit will have to be explained,
the legislature will have to approve and the building out process may take
years.
Maintenance leaders, in the Builder Role, to construct and assemble
the environment to facilitate this type of security is desperately needed. If
not, the system will be controlled by AI. The Artificial Intelligence (AI)
robots are coming! Who will protect us now? The sick should have never been allowed
to travel in close quarters with others, whether it be a plane, car or
elevator. As security is being improved, should transportation also be
redesigned, to limit long term personal interactions, think travel pods. Human
race survival now depends on personal hygiene; clean air, water, and global
sanitation; biodegradable or repurpose waste, and renewable energy.
