Defining Culture


The word Culture can describe numerous human behavior and interactions. From ancient to modern societies, the history and survival of different and diverse communities and development patterns into today’s world are all commonly and academically referred to as Culture. Societies spread across the planet and further divided into geographic regions, country and legal jurisdictions, were developed and will continue to form its own Culture. Further subdividing to protect, train, construct, enrich, design and control itself. Societies operate under sectors and industries generally labelled; Resource Preservation, Human Development, Infrastructure Management, Economic Drivers, Fiscal Policy and Governance. Each category having its own Cultural Interface.


Resource Preservation:
Addressing A culture of crime and corruption, from both external and internal sources, employing harsh punishments, surveillance visibility and intelligence gathering to limit or obvert opportunities. The way people protect themselves and their property, engaging armed forces, under law, to deter, detect and detain has evolved from a culture of historical wars. Different and diverse ways and means with new ideas and methods constantly being adapted, imported from other cultures as to what works best in this time and space. Future Development tends to come from the minds of criminals, persons who learn security systems from within an operational culture and exposes vulnerabilities.

Human Development:
Speaking to a culture of hate and discrimination, is to expose the true human condition, shunning persons who are perceived as less and encouraging those who can give something of recognized value. It is quite normal to judge by one’s own standards, hence productive people will inspire healthy, educated, children into skilled and talented adults. Different and diverse people are still mostly shunned by society, as unproductive and a burden on resources, and may have been put to death in past cultures. Future Development would require cultural changes to find, inspire and develop valuable talent in all peoples, to better society’s peace and happiness.

Infrastructure Management:
A culture of architectural designs and engineering innovations is used to support human existence on this planet, especially to cater for population increases and to protect against the effects of climate change. Moving out of naturally form caves into planned housing developments, people built and maintain shelters and roads to offer and incorporate security and convenience. Most cultures expanded outward travelling via air, sea and land to settle on lands, different and diverse strategies must now be implemented to occupy air and sea. Future leadership will map out Development cities high into the air and into the depths of the ocean, to cater for the inevitable population growth and climate change.

Economic Drivers:
Society could not survive and prosper without capturing and employing new resources through a culture of Capitalism with Conscience. The way people earn and operate stimulating growth. Culture, itself, is commonly seen as one of the main pillars of Tourism. Strategic Plans and its protection, preservation, reinvention and conservation must be high on every agenda, different and diverse. Future Development demands leadership vision which minimizes wealth gaps, Justice for all and to maintain a welcoming standard of living.

Symbols, languages, lessons, beliefs, work, entertainment, foods, fashions, songs, dances, stories, celebrations, are habits, Defining Culture, developed and used in a society’s common human interaction, combining into past, present or future Civilizations.
