Teaching children respect, not just for each other but for themselves, allows for another creative member of society, that when trained in the systems under which society functions, becomes more focus on communal solutions as opposed to self gratification. Education cannot take place in a vacuum, learning is universal. So when a child ask about the purpose of a particular lessen, each and every member of society must be able to answer, it is about the collective quality of life.
Training adolescence, about their purpose, not about the acquisition of things, not to envy other persons things, but to create and develop things that bring benefits and add value to the society. Create a pray, music, art and cultural experience that gives hope and inspiration, develop a source of food that is nutritious and affordable, engineer a modern communication, transportation or electrical network. Invent new processes and innovate better methods of protecting and improving the quality of life.
To plan, budget and achieve better conditions for all in society, starts with helping the most vulnerable. A society that promotes and respects a love of learning, in its daily operations, so that every person can reach their full potential at their own speed will establish or strengthen learning facilities that offer basic care, room and meals, allowing trainees to focus on learning, make-work and apprenticeship programs to built self-esteem and business incubators to foster and encourage ideas. This helping hand must also promote from its successes, the assistance of another, reducing poverty and balancing the society by promoting life achievements over the accumulation of things.
To reward and encourage social contributions, not selfishness, is a long-term turn around, but must be undertaken. Public awards for dedicated minimum wage earners employed in waste collection or other very necessary tasks, will go much further in motivating society than awarding persons whose demonstrated philosophy is hoarding. Measuring an individual’s contributions, by the number of persons they are responsible in uplifting rather than the amount of wealth generated for or by that individual, is a great way of building moral values in a society.
Hence, it all rest on proper parenting, from nourishing children, guiding adolescence and motivating adults, to share both aims and achievements and put aside economic, caste, cultural, creed and religious differences. Commitment by all members to the society must be paramount for its continued existence, growth and very survival.
