Society’s Problems; crime, the wealth gap,
unemployment levels, traffic jams, and much that negatively impacts the
majority of the population, are described, in general, as issues which hinder
positive social development. Understanding such issues is a first step in
working out very crucial and essential solutions. The minority report will always
offer blame and fixes, which benefit the few rather than the many. However,
most of the people that, face such issues on a daily basis, also have opinions,
based on facts, which may work. It is worth listening, compiling, thinking,
educating and further discussing, such point of views, towards trying out
temporary and implementing permanent fixes and answers.

Workers' Unions
The mission is and has always been to negotiate the
best employment terms and conditions for union members. This is mostly done
under the Industrial Relations Laws, through the collective bargaining process.
Generally, the resulting collective employment contract relates to only one
entity, organization, operation, or company, not the entire industry or sector.
However, the industry leader's collective agreement, with what should be the industry
largest union, would naturally have an effect on other organizations within
that sector. It is the monopolistic operation which presents the greatest
challenge. Hence, very simplistic solutions, would be to breakup all monopolies
and to transition
workers into owners.

Personal Financials
Meet Joshua, a single dad with a ten-year-old son,
helping to get his son out of bed and prepared for school while, getting himself
ready for work as a welder. Joshua clearly understands his commitments and
responsibilities, to keep himself and his son healthy, with a safe and secure
roof over their heads and with transport options to benefit their lives. Joshua,
clearly need some advice as to the hidden cost, which can and would have a devastating
effect on his personal financial plan, also known as statement of affairs, and
ultimately, eating into his income and reducing his ability to grow his savings
and pension.

Foreign Direct Investment 2018
The World Bank forecasts global economic growth to edge up to
3.1 percent in 2018 after a much stronger-than-expected 2017, as the recovery
in investment, manufacturing, and trade continues. Growth in advanced economies
is expected to moderate slightly to 2.2 percent in 2018, as central banks
gradually remove their post-crisis accommodation and the upturn in investment
growth stabilizes. Global output is estimated by The International
Monetary Fund (IMF) to have grown by 3.7 percent in 2017, which is 0.1 percentage
point faster than projected in the fall and ½ percentage point higher than in
2016. The pickup in growth has been broad based, with notable upside surprises
in Europe and Asia. Global growth forecasts for 2018 and 2019 have been revised
upward by 0.2 percentage point to 3.9 percent.

Public Service vs Political Loyalty
The
importance of balance and fairness is the underlying strength of a nation and
must be known and respected by every member of that society. Democratically
elected political representatives, policy-makers, law-makers, and appointed
executives, who oversee implementation, are vital to the process. Noting that,
the true work is done by the permanent staff in the public service. Hence,
policies and directives, crafted by such politicians, are at the very root of
strong enforceable laws. While, the execution, implementation and reporting
documentation, is done by permanent staff. Members of society, therefore, must
understand the powers that politicians have and do not have, and where control
legally exist. For example, it is the security services that maintain order and
the judiciary that enforces existing laws, with permanent skilled employees,
keeping the peace in the society.
